White sugar which is table sugar is a highly refined and industrially processed product produced on a mass scale with the use of many harmful chemicals like :
Sulphur dioxide is added in the process of manufacturing sugar to make it crystal white. This is a very harmful chemical and causes many long-term health problems
Phosphoric acid this chemical is added to remove the impurities in the sugarcane juice. This is also a very harmful chemical for human and cause tooth decay, it is also an irritant for the skin and respiratory system.
Calcium-hydro-oxide: used in the sugar manufacturing process and can be very harmful to our eyes , skin, gut and other body tissues.
Polyacrylamides are also now being used as clarifying agents and very harmful to male reproductive glands, sweat glands and cause speech disorder and numbness etc.
We use a plant-based coagulant, specifically okra pulp, for the purification process. It is not harmful, and we do not incorporate any chemicals or flavors into it.

I always wanted to cook using ingredients that are closer to nature, and this khaand is a perfect fit. It’s aromatic, lightly golden, and melts beautifully. It feels like something straight out of a rural home, made with love and care. I now use it not just in sweets but also in savory curries where a hint of sweetness is needed. This is the kind of product that makes traditional cooking feel easy and accessible again. I couldn’t be happier with the switch.
I was skeptical about moving away from white sugar, but this Artisanal Sugar has truly changed my perspective. It’s got this mellow sweetness that feels satisfying without being excessive. What impressed me most was the clean, golden look — a sign that it’s not stripped of nutrients like refined sugar. I’ve used it in smoothies, cookies, and tea, and it works perfectly across all. Highly recommended for those wanting a better alternative to processed sugar.
This artisanal sugar has completely transformed my baking. It’s perfect for everything from cakes to cookies, giving them a richer flavor that regular sugar can’t provide. I also use it in my tea, and I love the smooth, natural sweetness. I feel much better using this sugar over the processed kind—it’s healthier and tastes better. I’m so glad I found this, and I’ll be sticking with it from now on.
Most store-bought sugars are bland and tasteless. This khaand has actual flavor. It’s not just sweet but has character. It’s especially great in tea and Indian sweets like moong dal halwa. The texture is slightly grainy, which I love, and there’s no trace of artificial processing. I also appreciate that it feels good on the body. It doesn’t give that bloated or wired feeling regular sugar does. I’m definitely a fan.
What I love most about this Artisanal Sugar is its rustic, unrefined charm. It feels real — not like the white, glossy sugar you see in supermarkets. There’s a light molasses-like note in the background, which enhances flavors. I’ve used it in everything from herbal teas to festive sweets. It's been a beautiful addition to my Ayurvedic lifestyle. Kudos to the makers for delivering such pure quality.
