Frequently Asked Questions

White Sesame refined oil is produced in bulk in large refineries where it undergoes various processes like degumming, bleaching and deodorization. Acids and bleaching agents are added to the oil in these processes and the oil is heated in heat exchanger and distillation columns at 200-240°C. The above process not only removes the colors and flavor of the natural oil but also strip it off of all the naturally occurring volatile compounds, vitamins and nutrients. In contrast, our cold pressed White Sesame oil is extracted by pressing and grinding the seeds in the wooden kohlus at below 50°C temperature and filtering the oil only once. Just What I Was Looking For

Finding a good-quality black sesame oil is not easy, but this one ticked all the boxes. It’s cold-pressed, rich in color, and the smell instantly tells you it’s real. I mainly bought it for my postpartum massage routine, but now I’ve started using it in my cooking too. It’s great for making chutneys, marinades, and even dressings for salads. Feels like I’ve struck gold with this discovery. I also appreciate the eco-friendly packaging and prompt delivery.

Fresh, Fragrant, and Totally Worth It

The first time I used this oil for sautéing veggies, I was blown away by the difference in taste. It has a roasted, rich aroma that adds character to even the most basic dish. I’ve also started using it for my oil-pulling routine, and it feels extremely fresh and clean. There’s no chemical aftertaste like in refined oils. A true value-for-money product, especially for those who want a multipurpose, traditional oil.

Warm, Nutty and Wonderfully Pure

What I love most about this oil is how honest and clean it feels. The texture is rich, and the warmth it adds to both body and food is undeniable. I use it for abhyanga massages and sometimes for cooking pongal or rasam. The flavor is bold, but in a good way—it doesn’t overpower, it enhances. It’s also surprisingly effective on dry patches of skin and gives a nice glow when used consistently. I’ve been using it daily and couldn’t be happier with the results.

Best Oil for Skin and Hair

Initially, I got this oil for its skin benefits, but I ended up loving it in my cooking too. It works like magic on dry skin and gives a healthy shine to hair. I also use it on toast with a pinch of salt and it tastes amazing! The oil feels thick, but it absorbs easily, and the natural scent is quite relaxing. It’s become part of my nighttime routine and weekend meals alike. You can tell it’s authentic from the moment you open the bottle.
