White Sesame refined oil is produced in bulk in large refineries where it undergoes various processes like degumming, bleaching and deodorization. Acids and bleaching agents are added to the oil in these processes and the oil is heated in heat exchanger and distillation columns at 200-240°C. The above process not only removes the colors and flavor of the natural oil but also strip it off of all the naturally occurring volatile compounds, vitamins and nutrients. In contrast, our cold pressed White Sesame oil is extracted by pressing and grinding the seeds in the wooden kohlus at below 50°C temperature and filtering the oil only once. The process is carried out in small batches. The oil so obtains retain its natural flavor, color, vitamins, nutrients and minerals.
